Clarion Chukwurah is a veteran Nigerian Actress who began her acting career in 1979 at the age of 15. She studied Acting and Speech at the University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. Osun State Nigeria and at the West Yorkshire University, Leeds. North England.
She has worked on Stage for the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds, England, the Royal Court Theater, London W1, the London International Festival of Theatre, the Cervantino International Festival of Theatre through 12 States of Mexico with the National Troupe of Nigeria, and the National Theatre, Lagos, Nigeria.
She has worked on Television for the National Television Authority NTA Network, Nigeria, African Independent Television Network AIT, Lagos, MNET South Africa, and Showmax Nigeria. She has worked on Movies for Ola Baligun Films, ROK Films, Netflix and several Nollywood Movie Companies. She has won several professional and humanitarian awards including Best Actress at the 1984 All Africa Films Festival, Burkina Faso, Best Actress at the 126 Countries participation Cervantino International Festival of Theatre, Mexico 2001, Best Supporting Actress at the African Films Awards, London 2003, Best Actress at the Africa Movies Academy Awards AMAA, Johannesburg 2014, and Best Actress at the EKO International Film Festival, Lagos 2021.
She began charitable and humanitarian work in year 2000 registering an NGO with which she collaborated with African Women Organizations in Nigeria and Cameroon, and First Ladies in Nigeria and Kenya, Rotary Club of Nairobi, her Son's Company CAPital Dreams Pictures Ltd, Lagos, and the Redeemed Christian Church of GOD RCCG, in Nigeria, Cameroon and Kenya, assisting Children, Women and Youths in education, health, clothing, feeding and social development, which won her the United Nations International Peace Envoy Award/Appointment to Kenya, 2010 to 2012.
She has won Community Service Awards in the United States of America for her work with Carricom Foundation, New York, for Caribbean Community Support in New York, from the New York Senate and City Council, 2016, and for Skill Acquisition Training support to Ugo Sunday Foundation in Houston, from the Mayor of Houston, 2017.
She is currently in the United States of America, available for major worldwide Movie Projects.
